While some people believe that God has made human beings and angels entirely different types of creatures, some believe that people can turn into angels after they die. The Book of Mormon describes those kinds of angels, who are sometimes called translated beings.
Personally, I'm among those who believe that humans and angels are entirely separate groups. But I do believe that God will change us when we get to heaven, removing all the effects of sin and suffering from us as we leave this fallen world behind and enter a world that's exactly the way God intended it to be.
