Angels are so ancient that we don't usually think about God creating them, eons before God created us. But a new article looks at what the Zohar (one of the sacred texts in Kabbalah) says about God creating Archangel Raphael.
What's most interesting to me is that God (who can see into the future), anticipates how the perfect Earth that He is creating will one day become corrupted and broken, so God assigns Raphael to heal the Earth long before that happens. God planned a solution to the problem before the problem had occurred!
