Definition: The cherubim is a group of angels recognized in both Judaism and Christianity. In Judaism, the cherubim angels are known for their work helping people deal with sin that separates them from God so they can draw closer to God. In Christianity, the cherubim are known for their wisdom, zeal to give glory to God, and their work keeping records of what happens in the universe. Kabbalah, a mystical branch of Judaism, says that archangel Gabriel leads the cherubim.
